About
Shannon Crees

Can you tell us a bit about your typical creative process?

I search for and collect inspiration and create a digital collage using Photoshop then turn into a digital illustration in Procreate.

Can you tell us a little bit about your background and how you ended up doing what you do?

I studied fashion but left that career in search of a creative pursuit that supported a more ethical and sustainable future. I diversified and struck on something when I sold my first big artwork. I found mural painting in London and have painted full time ever since.

What's been a highlight of your career so far?

Painting for the world's largest street art festival for Banksy, featuring on the Apprentice and being invited by the Chinese government to paint in China.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to any aspiring creatives?

If you have passion for and unwavering dedication to an authentic creative expression it will become a career.

What was the inspiration behind this piece?
